Project Summary

User research revealed that trust and perceived experience are key decision factors when users choose a legal service provider. While competitors prominently communicate their years in business to build credibility, LawDepot lacked a clear trust signal in its primary user touch-points.

 

In response, I collaborated with product and brand teams to design and test a subtle yet strategic update: adding a trust-based tagline to the LawDepot logo in the site header. The test was A/B tested at scale across 200+ products in the U.S. market.

Reflection & Next Steps

This project proved that even small, brand-focused UX decisions can have measurable business impact. Due to its success in the U.S. market, we are expanding the tagline to:

 

  • Other English-speaking countries including Canada, UK, Australia.
  • Non-English speaking markets, including Germany, Spain, Mexico, and France.
  • Footer placements across our product pages to reinforce trust site-wide.

 

This experiment reaffirmed the value of trust signals and how UX decisions (no matter how small) can be powerful when aligned with business goals.
